@Darkreality. I agree that it makes more sense to install the drivers first, but you're a but shortsighted to dismiss the site author as a "bloody fool" for that alone.
By the way, you might want to update your sound card drivers to the directX 9 release.
Ooh, you're so leet.Then I install Winamp, then Windows Media Player, in that order because Winamp does not require a reboot; Windows Media Player does. After the reboot, I then install the Kazaa Lite Codec Pack.
well, I'd notch 1 up to common sense as far as installing drivers prior to any programs. in many cases, game installers will configure itself to best fit your computer's components and performance...
for best results, i suggest reformating you system and then following the guide before making any installations... then your free to install in what ever order you desire.... *some people are sooo technical*

as soon as ive installed windows and updated at m/soft and updated my drivers i defrag and then set my page file to a fixed size and then install all my apps, i like to make sure windows is neat n tidy and that my pagefile isnt fragmented all over the drive before anything else not needed.......probably, am i to fussy....without a doubt
