Average use = 300 watts. Equivalent to 3 regular lightbulbs.

    $0.07 avg per kilowatt/hour

    1000 / 300 = 3.33

    $0.07 / 3.33 = $0.021 per hour.

    x 24 hours = $0.50

    x 30 days = $12.11

    x12 months = $145.32 per year

    Approximately

I leave mine on all the time aswell,I read somewhere that it is better for the harddrive not to turn it on and off to often, that it is better to just leave it on continously

Unless you have SCSI disks you should at least not use your PC as a server. IDE disks aren't meant to be used 24/7. They will crash. I read somewhere that IDE HDD manufacturers only recommend using their IDE HDDs up to 13 hours per day, some even less than that (8 hours per day, 5 days a week).

You can find how long your computer is on by the task manager

    System Idle Process
    CPU TIME:

    Then Hours:Minutes:Seconds

    Mine is at: 97:57:40

Longest would be well over 200 or 300 hours
