No, you still need a board that will support 8x AGP.

You don't need 1GB of RAM, probably 512MB would suffice.
Fast RAM is nice, but it's overkill if your chip won't keep up.

Have you mentioned exactly what AMD you have?

@dray_02, look on your memory it will tell you a speed, such as pc2700 or ddr333 [/b][/quote]
just to let u know for further reffrence that PC2700 is the same thing as DDR333. just like PC2100 is DDR266 and PC3200 is to DDR400. again just letting u know. and DDR333 is pretty good RAM.
