Shay, I think you are mistaken about how polite Americans are because you are part of a minority so obviously they are going to treat you with contempt.

Before going anywhere, a smart person always takes the lay of the land. That's why before I go to Quebec I always grow out a pencil moustache and wear a Jean Beliveau hockey jersey. The frogs basically think I'm a native.

    Question.....

Do you think the majority of Canadians use or say "eh"??
No, actually - it is vernacular among Yoopers, and is thought to be a remnant of our proximity to your great country...not by me, of course, but I follow through to keep the peace.

I do, and if I don't hear it from those around me, I shine the light of courtesy on the offenders.

I sometimes make a spectacle of myself thereby.

Perch on the other hand I can live without.
I like pickerel and pike just fine.

I love pan-fried, broiled and also the sinful deep-fried fish.

BTW, there's a YouTube vid or six that help you get those bones out of Picks and pike.

Pretty much any fish that gets in my way is gonna get et.

High on life if my mood permits.

Drunk for the fun of it.

    I don't play golf, I play cribbage.

    Interisting comment Idol.....

So does that work the same for you considering there are more conservatives in Canada???

I would say your comment is obtuse and ignorant again buddy.. Or do i owe you an apology , that is not what you meant??

The question always is , how in different States people talk/communicate with you.....

Some states i would say "thank you" and they would say "Ah HuH" now is that rude or is it there way of saying your welcome??

I would say what pops do you have?? And they would look at me like i am nuts!!!.. Then i would correct myself and ask what sodas do you offer?

It is like talking to someone from Newfoundland and if you are on the phone with them i usually have to say pardon about 10 time in a 3 minute conversation ....

Again truthfully minority has nothing to do with my comment/observation

Really i should have used more detail and asked this....

I didn't mean to think Americans are rude buddy, that would be far from the truth, just how do affectionately respond to kindness.... If you know what i mean...

I have had this conversation with many Americans in the service business, and again depending where they are from you do get different responses of kindness.....

I guess you being close to a Canadian border, we and i mean other than Idol have rubbed off on you

    Truly.....

I don't remember my parents teaching me or kindness?? Truth they taught me entitlement ..But when it did come to my kids i taught them both
