I played a lot of euchre with my buds way back.

    Loved it, I remember that.

Again my point was not all American use the words Please and Thank You but they have there terms of endearment with different words/ways.....

You all live a less purposely-colloquial life than we do, I think.

Tribalisms in search of a lobby proliferate over here - as if we weren't diverse enough.

I'm not widely traveled in Canadiaville, but I really liked the little big-town-ness of Toronto.

Once a day I'd like to walk into that Holiday Inn and have two hundred people turn to greet me anew.

I wasn't across the lobby when a fellow invited me to a party up top, "and we're gonna take you to the top of the CN Tower, too..."

    Missus J said no.

Both Wil Smith and the film grew some liberal criticism for having him speak in the language of an unschool Southern black person circa the 1920's if that makes you feel any better.
I have seen Stroke of Genius with the guy from Person of Interest. About all I remember of it is him playing in the British Open.
Didn't know the cycling film existed. Not sure I'd watch as seems to deal with the darker side of people that I'm not a fan of. Anyway I'm sure you've had this happen. You watch a movie about something that you know a lot about in your case probably pedophilia, and the film makers take liberties with it because they are more interested in telling a good story than being factually precise and so you spend a lot of the time going "that's stupid. They would never do that" and it ends up spoiling the entire movie for you.

I haven't heard any stories that watch better than they read.

I play Go a fair bit. I instantly loved it, the first time I played. It took me to another plaice in another thyme. I also frequent the carom board, but that's more for the disco powder.
    Now go away.

Not missing your point but never heard of carom before now. Seems to be very similar to crokinole.

Pics or it never happened. Seriously, you should know better, this is the Internet and we love cats and foxes.
