Interesting... man huh.
(Words to live by... and that so many tend emulate, (Some unknowingly.), but do so none the less.)
First book ever given to me was "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" (A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream) was sent to me by my best mate (N.J.) after I flew
out to him in and helped him buy and close on a few parcels of land northwest of Dallas, Texas... Denton, TX, I believe. The back was being flooded for some reservoir... making
those parcels soon to be waterfront properties. He just had trouble with all the mineral rights (giving them away)... it was Texas right?... so I took over.
Needless to say we partied hearty... I mean hearty... you get the gist of it.
A few weeks later I received that book from him.
A personal note accompanied it saying... "To My Attorney."
Still have it on a shelf.
He is now a retired multi-millionaire... after a long stay in Texas... back in N.J. of all places.
Note: If you have never read his book, feel free to Google it... then read it... you'll better understand the personal note about his "attorney".

Oh My...
Sports betting may be legal in FL by mid week... {sigh}
(I'm trying to quit, or have... Craps was a hard kick too... but there always will be my favorite Black Jack!)

Oh my again...
Yep, Craps and Roulette too will be voted on today in Florida... I'll probably be broke in a year...
Thinking on... anon's signature: "I just remembered something that happened a long time ago."...
I once made 20 straight passes all "7"'s in at the Harrah's Casino / Resort Atlantic City, N.J. in 1980... lost thousands on the 21st roll. No record though, but did have players from 4
other tables come over to cheer me on.
(Thanks for the memory... I'll move you up a slot.)

That's pretty incredible. I suppose casinos thrive not just on the odds but also on people getting caught up in the moment.
As long as you never gamble more than you can afford to lose then all is still good.

I used to set my loss limit around... $600... epic fail there.

Goodish movie about gambling. Damon's got a great story about Malkovich in it.
