There's no 256k adsl service in UK.

    The three cheapest services are:

    DataComms Europe Ltd £16.99/month + £25 activation +£45 for modem/filters.
Freedom 2 Surf PLC £19.15/month, free activation, Get your own modem/filters.
PIPEX Internet Limited £19.95/month +14.95 activation (includes modem/filters).

    All prices have VAT added.
All subject to 12 month contract otherwise termination fee of about £50+vat.

and PLZ stop saying all that 256 etc cos u can get 576 or 600k for about the same price

EDIT : my friend uses PIPEX and he is very happy with

PlusNet - there's a £60+VAT connection fee on top, plus you need modem and filters so add about another £50 for those. Works out at about an extra £10 per month making a total of £28 per month for the first year.

Nildram - £19.57/month +VAT +£50+Vat connection, plus you need modem and filters.
    Expensive.

yeah we bought the router from them, as it was cheaper to do so than pay the £25 a month to get it for free. the activation was £40 i believe.
