WMA files could also have malicious scripts innit.Originally posted by bigdawgfoxx@8 December 2003 - 03:40
Oh ok, thanks.
Also..the ones I ripped of WMP sound GREATTTTT and are only like 2MB a song...They sound better then like 192Bitrate..whats up with that?
Avoid WMA's at all costs.
mp3's are the most common format, for audio.
There's other formats too, but you'll
likely to need a codec or a program to run them.
Things to read:
mp3 pinned
Soulseek pinned
p2p pinned
pinned Bittorrent
As you can see, most of your questions are answered in these so called
Pinned Topics, if you dont find the answer, trty to search the forums.
As a new user of SoulSeek, your questions have been most likely
answered before, its just a matter of finding it.
(The Bittorrent is cool for bigger files...)

the perceived sound quality will depend on your soundcard and speakers (among other things)Originally posted by bigdawgfoxx@9 December 2003 - 01:18

it's generally felt that mp3's are better as a compression codec than wma though
