Placing a Shareware licence on your software is shit business practise. As Linus Torvalds once said in an interview with Hiroo Yamagata:

In my opinion, shareware tends to combine the worst of commercial software (no sources) with the worst of free software (no finishing touches). I simply do not believe in the shareware market at all.

And he is right. The software in question appears to be poorly designed. Do the right thing and abstain from using it.

Shareware is software that you can use for a trial period (usually about 30 days), or with limited features, and then you (supposedly) have to pay a fee in order to continue using it with all the features active.
