Does I need NAV 2004 or can I stay at 2003, if I update my virus definitions?

What are the differences between 2003 and 2004?

Because it seems that NAV 2003 can also update latest virus definitions as it did today.
yeah, 2003 is still good, just keep it updated
thats what im still runnin
got to admit though, some of their latest driver updates are trippin me out
seems to run slower now or somethin

and dont know what the deal is w/2004
supposed to be less hoggish on memory from what i heard,
but still heard some complaints from people

most recomendations ive heard is for NAV crop.

Hello!

There is some viruses out there that can turn off NAV 2003 so even with updated virus definitions you might not be safe it is adviceable to update to NAV 2004.
and the viruses out there can infect 2004 as well
its a matter of keeping updated and using sense about your net habits
not neccesarily which version you use
@internet.news - if 2003 is still runnin good, id say keep it for now
since the 04 is messin up, or try AVG, heard good things bout it

edit, just got some bad news about AVG
look here for some av test results
its under grisoft link for those who dont know

Kazaa lite is no longer good for softwares. Use Bittorent. For mp3's still klite is good.
Hello!

It is still good but you just have to make sure that you download verified versions! [/b][/quote]
Hi,

Yup. But its very hard these days to find users online. Occasionally, i too go there but sometimes i do get disappointed and thats when i turn to Bittorent. Try it out, you will like it as well

Hello!

Increase you chances for finding the file by using the search more option and set the time to a very high value like 100 mins and you will get kicked of different Supernodes. Also use KaZuperNodes 1.4.6 and reguraly change Supernode. This way you maximise the chance of finding what you want!.

You have to update IE? That's friggin weak. I don't trust Norton's software anymore. Well, I don't trust their 2004 line. Internet Security 2004 is causing EVERYONE I hear from problems.

Also, NAV's engine is apparently weak. I catch waaay more viruses with AVG and it's not a resource hog or obtrusive.

AVG Anti-Virus
There was a antivirus test lately on a dutch tech site and it seems that AVG didn't notice 4 of the 5 trojans....

Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition is the best

Don't confuse an anti-trojan with a antivirus.Even the best antivirus in the world can't find some trojans, personally i use an antivirus and an anti-trojan.
