Hi i downloaded an xbox game thinking that it was going to be an .iso, but when i got it there were about 30 files with the extension .tar. How do i change them into one .iso?

tar stands for sth like tape archive, used mainly in unix.
how big are they? whats inside them?

You have to use Winrar with these files (tar is just another compression standard like rar or zip). Right click on the first tar file and select extract here. Winrar will automatically extract all thirty tar files and you will end up with your iso file (or wathever is inside the tar files).

Did you try opening Winrar then highlighting all the files and extract (to where ever you want it) ?

Yeah i did, but it just put all those small files into a different folder again

It moved 30 .tars to another folder staying as 30 .tars ?
