I remember being in a couple IRC webdev channels... but both were filled with asses who thought they were better than everyone... so I never came back to them again. Anyway, i have 2 ppl on my MSN contact list who know just about everything about PHP, also there's PHP.net... and for client-side languages... well, I know HTML/CSS well enough and almost never have to deal with JS (which i know on a basic level). There are a lot of good references, anyway.
http://www.ynhockey.net/html.php (HTML): i will have a table of contents kind of thing up soon, but it's not really hard to browse, anyway.
http://www.westciv.com/style_master/.../css_tutorial/ (CSS): it's like a 'demo' guide but the reference is pretty good. For CSS though i personally use Style Studio, which has a full reference from W3.
http://www.w3.org (HTML/CSS) - this is a reference-only site, and it's complete since these guys manage HTML and CSS.
http://www.devguru.com/Technologies/ecmasc...ript_index.html (JS) - i never needed another reference... but maybe that's just me.
For server-side, i use PHP.net and Google and my friend. Nothing can beat that combination
As for those chat rooms, if you're really interested, i'll try and find out for you.
