I bought mine a few months back for $207.00. That's a good price if true. The only thing I did not like was it came with Roxio instead of Nero. You can read another review here: Click Here

it is not safe to write on CDs any faster than 48x
why? i screwed one of my friends comps doing this (shit...)
if a CD has even a slight deformity in it, it could shatter during the writing process, wasting one CD and a costly burner

That's what I was thinking, I got a Lite-On 52X burner for $30 bucks a few months back, no way I'd spend that kinda money on a burner.
