Thread: Proxies

1. #11
How would use these proxies so there is a lesser chance of me being caught using WinMX, BitTorrent, and mIRC? Where do I put in these IP addresses and ports? I see how you did it with Mozilla, but I want them for P2P.

Edit: I run Windows XP Home SP1 and have an integrated network card on my motherboard.

WinMX: Settings -> Outgoing TCP Connections -> Use SOCKS4/5 Proxy Server

mIRC: File -> Options -> Connect -> Firewall

What about BitTorrent (ABC 2.6.1), since I share?

Edit: Are the proxies on here and stayinvisible.com SOCKS 4 or 5? Also, how do I set up a proxy server in IE (to test them)?

Not all proxies are anonymous - you should use anonymous proxies. I also noticed that most port 80 proxies are not very anonymous - on the other hand most proxies using port 8080 are anonymous.
Port doesn't matter. And 80 and 8080 are identical for our purposes.

If these servers are identical to the ones in Stay Invis., then we are do0Omed, because in my compiled list of bad ips to bl0ck when checking proxies, most of these ips failed and they belong to the 3 acronym orgs or h@ck3rs, so just beaware.
80 is the standard port for http proxies.
8080 & 1080 are the standard ports for socks 4/4a/5 proxies, but there are non-standard port proxies ass w3ll thouhgh.

Big problem!!!! Port 8080 is a known caching port. Most IP running caching server port forward all traffic to port 8080. In addition most cacheing server keep logs of how much they have cached what they have cached and who accessed the cache. If someone ever needed proof of what you where doing/looking at on the web a caching server is the best way to prove it. Please stay away from port 8080.

Most if not all proxy servers cache their request anyway.

Port really does not matter, as been said before.
