Sorry, but for 90% of new chips (upgrading from old ones) don't you need a new motherboard??

half true. amd chips have always used the same pin count and placement, and the motherboard companies always add support for more chips to the bios, but i guess it would be limited by the chipset youve got. for example you cant run a 2500+ on my motherboard, because mine only runs at a fsb of 266. but if it were possible there probably would have been a release for the bios including all new processors.

i guess 90% does sound right...

someones an asshole

apparently you never went to alienware... the pcs that they make are around 3g... and NEVER at 5g or above when they make them...

and never at 20g hen customized... not our fault that you are an impoverished fool who happened to find an internet connection

oh yea btw: their PCs are NEVER crap: youre talkin about a company who holds universal recognition for their gaming rigs... look at the facts first my friend...
1. their rigs carry unbelievably reliable warranties.
2. they are very overclocker friendly
3. they carry very nice cooling systems
4. their rigs are VERY reliable.
• reliable ram (almost always corsair)
• quiet HDDs (usually seagate)
• overclocker friendly CPUs (made in malaysa[sp?])
• motherboards are ready for the future
• for gods sake even the volt mods are cooled!!!

i think that quality like that deserves a high price tag dont you think?
