EDIT: Nevermind, I guess Clean2.6 is decent. Wonder if I should switch?

Moving on...I am behind a university firewalled network, and thus, while Klite does work for me, my download speeds are relatively sluggish, normally peaking at only 5 Kb/s. I would like to know what the best p2p program is for my situation, unless Klite is it and I should just deal with it. File types I normally look for are music and movies. And I cannot use any program that requires I share my own files (e.g. DirectConnect), because the firewall also prevents that...unless someone has a workaround for this problem.

PS: I still don't see why you had a problem with Lite posting a link for 2.44, jetje.

how does that in anyway suggest that 2.6 is crappy? , all the klites' 2.6/ressurection/2.43/2,44, are all going to pretty much download at the same speed. there all klite, 2.44 is the same as 2.43. it just has update tools, such as ip updater 1.3 instead of 1.2, and updates on other tools that YOU probally wont even use/they wont make your downloads faster. however, klite 2.6 is based on the KMD 2.6 so it is the newest.

Ah yes argueing,joy;NeWhoo,if ressurection is jsut a copy of k-lite 2.4.3 with updated tools and clean KMD palin old sux,and KMD 2.6 sucks then why would u want k-lite 2.6?why doesnt every1 stay with the best version?k-lite 2.4.3&#33;sure if ur lazy go with 2.4.4 but hell i dont even use any of the tools&#33; and cum on jetje,no links in posts?GIVE IT A REST ITS A KL BOARD&#33;

I think the reason for the development of a K-Lite 2.6 was because of the fear that Sharman would start blocking earlier versions of KMD (and hence K-Lite) from the network.

Well, it&#39;s been 4 months now and this threat hasn&#39;t materialised, like alot of Sharman announcements it seems like it&#39;s nothing but hot air...

I&#39;d agree that it&#39;s foolish to use a later "inferior" client when the earlier versions still work fine.

...but that&#39;s only my opinion&#33;

U kno even if sharman DID block out k-lite versions to the network,u kno sum1 would eventually get around it with the amount of talented and smart people on this baord!(many of u,muscle man,nightstalker,4th gen(tho i think u suck)and others)liek they say,less is more(msot of the time... not with my gf atleast )
