Lying on the ground isn't exactly a normal activity for a bat... Maybe a call to your local RSPCA would be in order, don't you think Sam^4?

But I love my bat
Thing is I couldn't get that close physically to it anyway as it a long phobia of mine to have a bat fluttering around my face and if it suddenly wakes up......

Just phoned the RSPCA - apparently bats can't take off from the ground as they need air-currents underneath them and that is why he isn't getting far.
Apparently I need to put him in a box then on to a hedge or something. He'll then crawl to the edge and fly away.
Dan-I'll edit the photos in the previous posts as photobucket might be gepping up.
