The problem with REALITY's idea is that I'm pretty certain that by adding the google search box to the top under the logo, it would create a bigger problem for members with 800X600 resolution. It would force them to scroll left to right, which would even be worse.

don't see why it would do that, there is lot's of space up there...

edit: Why don't you try it and see what happens? If it makes 800x600ers have to scroll left or right, then remove it. If it works out, leave it?

If Rookie can edit the logo to remove the whitespace at the bottom of it (about 40px wasted space in heigth), then I think I can make it fit even on 800x600.

I see that you guys are moving things around a bit up there. If you cannot put the google search bar under the logo then maybe it could be put under the "logged in as" and have all the links at the right.
