Wholemeal bread for me - More taste to it, more filling, more texture. And that's coming from someone who's been eating white bread for 18 years and has gone straight to brown in only a couple of months
There's also more variety with brown bread - Go to two shops and order the "same loaf" (i.e. loaves with the same name like wholemeal loaf) and you're likely to get to get signficantly different loaves. Then there's some of the stuff that is added to brown bread - Sesame seeds one delicious example With white bread, with the exception of speciality loaves like bagettes, it's all the same
