Only bumps and brusies all told, but I consider myself lucky.

I seriously learned a lesson in the power of Mother Nature.
Mighty glad you're okay, Hobbes old buddy.

Had a few too many of those lessons myself; the water kind are especially exciting.

Take care of those brusies, eh?

Well, after the plunge, I was "appleless", fortunately I was not towing the cooler and it was just one beer gone.

In this instance, the falls were at the very beginning of the trip so the apple was not yet in play. I wonder if it would have been better to have been a little pickled, as drunk people just tend to relax and roll with it. I tensed up a wee bit, and my back muscles are singing about it, now.

Fortunately, I was lucky enough to find a captainless innertube and can cooler and resume the trip.

Found out later, that it wasn't my tube and when I returned the can-cooler, the person who leant it told me it was not his.

The river taketh and the river giveth. And it tasted fantastic!

I get your point though JP, and it is well made. Apply the "sauce" before putting yourself on the grill.
Aren't we in the trust tree, thingey?

Marinate mate, always marinate and give it plenty of time to soak in.
