there are 800mb discs. not all burners can burn on them though. im not sure but there may be 900mb discs. (anything is possible)

dvd's can hold 4.6gb for regular ones and like 9 or 10 for dual layer ones. might wanna invest n a dvd burner.

Yep they are priced so good right now too. Makes one wonder whats on the horizon .
Me guesses they'll soon have TCD.
Terabyte Compact Disc.

1tb capacity, read rate of, oh, i dunno, like 10gb/s? [/b][/quote]
i read some were that 1 tera bite = 100/1000gb

i am not sure that it was 100 or 1000 gb i think it wont be 1000gb cuz still there r no hdd having 1000gb yet

1 TeraByte is 1024GB, although a 1TB hard drive will be 1000GB due to the manufacturers' capacity quoting principle.

So, what do you think?
I think all of them are DVD Rips,
encoded on Divx, or something like it.
And about my understanding of this stuff,
you are right, Im not too experienced.
but Iīd apreciate any help...

(( How do you write ĻapreciateĻ))
Those should each fit on a 700MB disc. 717,172KB is between 700 and 701MB and I haven't seen a 700MB disc with less than 702MB space on there... although I don't buy crap discs.

It's appreciate.

1. - DivX Player (in Hardware topics)...
http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/product.php?product=PLA2003
Decided to get one as its much better than my 6100 as it can play the newer encoding MPEG4 ASP (Advanced Simple Profile) I have to sometimes recode mine this will save me time and effert.

2. - Ok, but if I do that, how will I get, lets say,
my 800MB movie into a CD,
I mean, is there a bigger CD?
does it exist?
Yes plus as muchspl2 as said you don't down many that won't fit on a cd disc.

This is just one site which isn't a bad price either.

3. - or I have to use a DVD and store the movie as
data?
If not, how will I play my Downloaded DVD Rips
that are usualy bigger than 700MB?
ALL avi's and mpeg are cut as data just drag, drop, cut finished, now thats an mpeg NOT a S(vcd) or kvcd etc the dvd's (not rips) are done as any other dvd is done if you want to cut (s)vcd as an mpeg so all fit on one dvd (or cd if small) you'll have to extract the mpeg out with another program first, Svcd's normally come in bin/cue format and with an mpeg you would cut as an svcd for a normal dvd player not with these.
Again if its an mpeg like say music videos just cut the machine will pick it up I cut 10 of these to one cd disc and it plays them one after another you don't have to start the second one off, "best thing since sliced bread" are these Dvix players.

Rather than buy a DVD player that can play any rather specialised CDs you plan to make, I'd recommend spending the same or less on a DVD+-RW drive and making DVD-Video discs that can be played anywhere... possibly in paying friends' machines.

If you're really set on burning to larger capacity CDRs, try the 100 minute ones HERE.
