how do i get the subtitle to work?

also how can i merege the subtitles with the movie so i can convert it and watch it as a vcd

If VobSub is installed, subtitle will automatically, display in most media players provided the filenames are same except the extension (example: topgun.avi, topgun.srt and/or *.sub, *.idx, *.smi) and all files are in the same directory.
