Well, I took off teh backseats, as I thought, there's solid metal plate behind.
But, I was chatting with a friend of mine, and we're gping to try to make a some sorta
hole on the shell, not through the plate, as there's the tank behind.
I usually try to hassle with the car me self, its really not anything special about that car,
its about 14 years old, the technics are not too difficult, ie: its not full of computers, there's
some stuff but mostly mechanics.
From my experience, stay the hell outta that type of cars
They're expensive to use, one would thought that they could make a
decent, or, more reliable lock on car like that but I guess not....
The electric window engines have been a pain in the ass too,
they pop about once in 2 years.
"Original" dealer parts cost wayyyy too much, it helps to make friends
on car-shops thought, and im not talking about salesmen.
I've changed parts for about 30 to 40 % of the prize as if I'd do "the Manker",
,meaming, if I called repairman or some company everytime there'san issue,
heheh...
No, im not rich, in fact, im extremely broke atm. so thats why calling official
companys etc. is not an option at all. I gotta figure this out meself.
Why I got that car in a first place?
I guess my only excuse is "I was young and stopid"
It was cheap, I thought of selling it after couple of years but
there was some changes in tha "major-plans in my life" plus the laws
did change about the taxes and whatnot and I thought of just hold on to it.
It's basicallty a really nice car to drive, but there's no room enough inside, or trunk
for my guitars etc. and it is expensive to keep.
Im trying to sell it soon, and probably get me some sorta Van, i mean,
those nasty japanese kinder eggs, not American..
(wait a sec, maybe i'll get me an Afrovan...)

Not bad, pretty close to teh tools we used today.Originally Posted by bujub22

But, time ran out for today, we'll continue tomorrow.
Have to do some tools, weld some parts tomorrow (special tools)
so we can loosen up the lock from the chassis, its mounted with 3 bolts,
10mm.
The tongue that holds the "door" itself is kinda stuck, and we cant get hold on to it, yet. Maybe tomorrow, with a little luck...
The vacuum system works the way it suppose to (central-lock) but since the toungue is
somewhat stuck, the pump dont have enough power to open it.
We're hoping to use some special tools to force the tongue, (maybe the better word is hook) off the hole.
Should I move this to teh Hardwareworld now?
Maybe Rip teh Jacker, Cloker or Lynx has some tips?
(they probably just want to "overclock" some parts, or fixmy coolin + fan)
