To be honest, I would prefer a little more professionalism from my representitives.

I agree - the punch lines tended to be poorly delivered.

I quite respect Paul Martin's decision. As MP she was elected to represent her constituents, and her party. Her actions were childish and unnecessary, and did not represent the views of her party, or her constituents. I would like to think that elected officials could carry themselves with a little more maturity than that. That is not the type of person that I want representing Canadians.

EDIT: Hiya J2, long time no see.

    Hi yourself, Nik.

Just as an exercise (and for the edification of the male contingent here), would you consent to being stripped?

Our research program would benefit greatly; I'm sure you would be a boon to our funding...

I have no problem with that, no one else takes them seriously, why should they?

Jesse Jackson once appeared on Saturday Night Live and read the childrens book "Green Eggs and Ham" in his typical over-top-fashion.

I will not eat them is a house!
I will not eat them with a mouse!
I will not eat them in a box!
I will not eat them with a fox!
I will not eat green eggs and ham,

    SAM, I AM!!!!!

This is not just over her appearance on This Hour Has 22 Minutes. There have been a number of incidents over the past few years which have led to this point. She has made remarks to the press, such as, "Damn Americans, I hate the bastards." and in an interview on Wednesday, said of the Prime Minister, her party leader, that if Paul Martin, "loses the next election and he has to resign, I wouldn't shed a tear over it. I have absolutely no loyalty to this team -- none."

Her riding in Mississauga has requested a by-election, and will probably get one.

@J2 - Stripped of what exactly?

Why, of whatever's handy, of course.

    Hobbes-

I actually liked Jesse for the precise duration of that skit.

Reality thankfully re-asserted itself immediately thereafter.

To be fair, the "damn Americans" comment wasn't to the press, it was overheard by a journalist and she didn't retract her statement.

things are quiet until hitler decides he'd like to invade russia
    so, he does
the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
the germans are like "wtf, h4x"
