    It's just the optical drives, right? Shutdown. Disconnect the IDE cables from said optical drives. Turn on your computer, wait 5-10 minutes (do nothing). Reboot. Shutdown. Reconnect the IDE cables. Make sure all cable/power/wires are firmly in place. Reboot, if you haven't messed with your registry or your computers not somebodies b*tch (bot) it (your OS, well XP will) auto detect your "new" optical drive(s).

    are the jumper set right? are your ide driver installed? are you sure you know what you are doing?
