I like "rain" as well, but it must be either

Coming down in buckets so that you can hear the "hiss"

or be a steady rain with a constant accompaniment of low thunder.

I miss the days of reading a horror novel on the porch, surrounded by warm air, and a steady rain with lightening as threat of doom and thunder as mood music.

Exploring purportedly haunted houses.
Tubing the Guadalupe River.
Watching women take their clothes off (not paid strippers or prostitutes )
Robotron 2084 and computer games in general.
Getting drunk, eating greasy chicken quesadillas and watching horror movies until I pass out.
Not going to work.
