    i suppose its dull light that makes it look all blue then

    i'm gonna try a developed photo as well. one inch on the scanner almost fills the screen on teh monitor in DPI terms

    Some scanners do seem to add some blue tho', try playing around with the curves and the saturation, if you have photoshop.

    Sounds like a good scanner wrt the dpi, what model & make is it?

    You cant get color out of inverting a b&w scan (even if the original is color).

    thats after inverting and brightness/contrast adjustments. other negatives just scan too dark to play with, would backing it with a mirror do anything?

    edit: unknown negative - scanned in colour - played with in photoshop
