Lamsey, thanks for the concise timely reply. Not you, but so many n00bs take offense at being asked a question about a program they are advocating. And they don't even answer my posed question(s). I'm just trying to learn by asking. They just flame. Peace.

In order to keep Outlook Express running properly, you have to maintain it from time to time. It was not designed for an unlimited number of messages.
1. Go thru each email folder and delete the messages you don't need.
2. Empty the Deleted Items folder.
3. Go to File --> Work Offline.
4. Click File again to be sure there's a check mark beside Work Offline.
5. Go to File --> Folder --> Compact All Folders.
6. Get a pop or something; it will take several minutes.
