Well it fired up first time and it picks up what it is ok. Think I am going to have to try reinstalling windows to see if the problem is fixed though as thats when it used to fall over every 2 minutes.
I feel like a bit of a mug going from a Barton xp2800 to a Sempron 2400 but if it means my pc will work then I don't give a monkeys

If you're going to install windows again, maybe try downloading that Borg 4.0 version of XP that I posted about in t'Moderation.
Saved me a lot of time.
