He should remake the "new" trilogy. Well, I say he should but I really mean a decent director should go back and remake the "new" films. And a decent writer, decent Anakin....

but would'ent it be good to see daft vader abit more ruthless of chewbaker ripping some heads off???, or a bit more of the emperor's saber action.

the resone for the remakes would be for the youger generation. the youger generation my not apprishiate the old classics

Well then, pardon my french (haha) but the new generation can go f*ck itself.
There's nothing to change in the old trilogy.

have you heard of the MagnoliaFan edits? some anonymous person called MagnoliaFan re-edited Episodes 1 & 2 to fix some of the problems he felt the two movies had. scrambled Jar-Jar's dialogue, the Trade Federation's dialogue and much of the Trade Droid dialogue so that they speak "alien" languages... and subtitled it with new lines, in order to change the tone of the story. he also removed some of the comedy bits, some of the cute bits, added some things from the deleted scenes (aka out-takes), abbreviated & rearranged some scenes and (i think) made some subtle alterations to a few of the special effects. overall the MagnoliaFan edits of Eps 1 & 2 don't dawdle as much as the original versions, and the tone is somewhat more in line with the other SW films.

supposedly George Lucas received & presumably watched copies of 'um, but has never commented publically.

if anyone's interested in trying to get hold of 'um, here are some key words to help the search:
MagnoliaFan's re-edit of Episode 1 is titled "Balance Of The Force"
MagnoliaFan's re-edit of Episode 2 is titled "The Clone War"

I have the first one burnt off onto DVD somewhere about, it does improve the film quite a bit. I'll have to grab the second one at some point as well.

Perhaps if a third one is done they'll edit out the annoying robot voices?
