Yes use fdisk to delete all non-dos partitions
    Format your C: drive
    Install 98

so i just put it on floppy then boot up with it in then do the previous things you told me to do
You can also get boot disk from bootdisk.com............

    yes follow what TRshady listed:

added a step or two -

    insert bootdisk, boot up
at dos prompt type fdisk - delete primary partition, option 1
create primary partition, reboot leaving disk in, option 1
at dos prompt type format, once complete, reboot with disk in
insert 98 cd, usually have to change directory to E:, simply type cd E:, then type setup installation should begin..............

just to understand what type of screens you will see, use links on right for deleting, creating, etc....

You need to delete "non dos partition" though as he has a ntfs drive and this wont show up if you select option one I don't think.

Boot from the 98disk. It should delete the ntfs partition & format the drive. It did this with mine last week & i lost my whole drive, 2500 thousand mp3's (F*CK) . I have now thrown my XP disk in the bin. Anyone else out there, use XP with CAUTION. It is hard to get rid of.
