I've had the Gran Patrón Platinum before on my birthday.
Was $28/shot.
There's a pretty good story behind that shot as well, but I'm far to lazy to type it out.

You were only drinking the Tequila to get the taste out of your mouth.
I don't remember it that way, but we'll go with it.

I was supposed to get that post in first. Now I look all

You were so drunk you fell flat on your face, resulting in you losing an eye. This meant you could no longer triangulate and distances became a complete mystery to you. Spoiling a promising career in Archery.
You still regret that as an opportunity squandered.
Actually, me and some friends were in the nicest resturaunt in Austin - Jeffery's.
I was out with 2 buddies and the g/f's. Me and my two friends were sitting at the bar in the resturaunt while the ladies were doing girl chat stuffz at the table. We were talking to the bartender about the different top shelf liqours that were available and their respective prices. We decided to have a shot each of the Patron Platinum.
A few seconds after the bartender sets down the shot, this middle-aged guy walks up, grabs the shot and takes it.
All three of us were saying "omg wtf" and about to make a scene right there in the restaurant. Turns out, the guy is the manager of the restaurant, is off duty and obviously shnaukered. He tells us about 50 times (no kidding) that he was only joking and never would have drank it had he known he was going to have to buy one to replace it.
He replaced the shot and bought us another round "on the house" to make up for it.
