whales give birth once a year , chickens lay an egg or two in a day !Why are whales in danger of extinction, but not chickens?
Typically a blue whale will give birth to a calf only every two years. Chickens are rather more prolific.
Cogito cogito ergo cogito sum
Whales are K- selected species, which means they are large slow-growing long-lived species with large habitat ranges and low fecundity (birth rate). Most of their energy goes into growth and they are slow to mature. If they are exploited, they are slow to replenish their population.
Chickens are r-selected species, meaning they are small fast-growing, short lived species with high fecundity and quick maturation. This means that populations can be replenished quickly when exploited for food.
Silly question anyway.

.
so what you're saying is chickens fuck more?
God hates whales.
I pretty sure it's in the bible someplace.
Because Whales are rubbish and chickens are brilliant of course .
Whales are mammals wot spend their whole lives swimming in an ocean they can't breathe. That's pretty dumb.
Whales are idiots.
Also, you can chop the head of a chicken and it can survive for up to 2 days. Plenty of time for emergency breeding.
Whales can't do that.
You are all daft.
Everybody knows that Whales taste better.
