I just dl the 3 CD bins for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. I used DAEMON's tool to mount the first image file (FLT-SPlinter Cell Bin CD1.bin) and the setup seemed to be working fine at first, but after about 10 secs of installation this message popped up:
============================
Component transfer error -
Component: Game Files
File Group: English Sound Files
File: F:\data2.cab
Error: Data error(cyclic redundancy check).
============================
It cancels the installation after you close out of the message.
Anybody have any ideas what's going on or if i'm doing this incorrectly?
Advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hopefully you didn't get it from K-lite cause it may be corrupt.

You've got a CRC error, it's corrupt. Check my signature for the link to the kazaa corruption fixer (great program for 56kers). Follow their steps and you'll be playing splinter cell in no time.

Cdmage only has a simple corruption fix tool, it can usually only repair small errors.
