Why not try it for yourself and see?
It takes up 0% CPU, wouldn't hurt to let it run in the backround.
is there any other prog. that is recommended ?
I very much trust and respect the ipfilter that wins does in memory of L_A, its a .dat file that you can always get the latest @ http://okwel.info/ipfilter.dat
However it's only compatible w/ Utorrent if im correct.
Here are the utorrent instructions on how to use it:
http://www.utorrent.com/faq.php#What_is_ipfilter.dat.3F
Its great if you already ust utorrent, because no third party software is necessary.
i recommend peerguardian above all else
although ur never gonna be 100% safe
Thanx for that... I've found PG / PG2 isn't compatable with my system. nice tipOriginally Posted by citizenblue

k, thanxs 4 the help.
i'll use it from now & on..........
Before I was using peer guardian, I recieved a very scary email from the MPAA and yes it was real. I have been using PG for over 8 months and have had no problems since.
Peer Gaurdian is a great app, good at IP & Web Traffic Filtering. Been using it for approx 2 years, now using the 64 bit version which I take my hat off to the developers for making a 64 bit compat version as most big compies are not supporting 64 bit, Plantronics, Logitec and Lexmark to name a few.
