Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings

For the BBC, it was dire. But it came with the Fellowship of the Rings book which kickstarted my Tolkien interest, which in turn led me to Middle Earth Role Playing games.....which was nice

I played MERP for a few years, as a Dwarf cook.

LoL aye MERP - complicated for a pen and paper kinda role playing experience (at least for a thicko like me) But the background story and extra stuff you could get was really amazing. Not to mention the great art work. Basically we used MERP as the structure but quickly ditched the rules or slightly simplified them to our needs.
