My comp came with EZCD Creator 5 Platinum already installed and it works fine for me, but I'm not a sophisticated user.
I dl'ed a earlier version of Nero just to compare and went back to Roxio.
It is dead easy to use.

I think that this topic is a perfect example of how not to phrase a post.
I don't think that there is a accepted standard to objectively rate one program vs. another.
At the end of the process both programs will leave you with a slightly warm silver disc in your hand. It will play music.
If you didn't go nuts figuring out how to do it, then the program was a success.
If you're happy, what difference does it make what your friend says?

What happens is that one time Nero Drop my buffer level to 0 and then i got a half burned disc and my friend says that in roxio that doesn't happen but im sure that was a problem with hardware and not NERO...

I've probably burned over 300 CDs and Roxio hasn't messed up any of them.
But, as you say, you probably had a hardware fault so Nero didn't screw up in your case.
Why don't you go to your friend's house and burn a CD and see how you like the program?

    Just three questions:

    - which one allows you to overburn a cd, Nero or ECDC?
    - which one is more customizable, Nero or ECDC?
    - which one has more options, Nero or ECDC?

    Just an answer:
ECDC for newbies, for people who want a nice GUI and for people who just want to "load 'n burn".
Nero for those who want to customize the way they burn their cd's, for those who have an older machine and for those who know which one is better.

A little off topic, but isn't Disk Juggler much better for C.D. Images?
