Hey all I have xp home and I also got pro burnt to disk. When I install pro will it change my registry tweeks I have done?? Do I have to do a cleaan install ?? It gives me the option to do the upgrade in it..

Depending on what you already have installed on your box you may want to try an upgrade. No sense in reinstalling all your favorite apps just to upgrade to xp pro (unless you have spanned drives). Even though it is 10 times better than home edition.

A clean install? I dont think so. What if he doesnt do backups or have spanned volumes then he'll have to reinstall all his programs that he had before.

I have my programs backed up on disk. and I dont have portions on my hard drive. I can reformat but that will take a long time. If I do reformate that will wipe my regisrty tweeks. If I do a upgrade will that wipe my tweeks???

No matter how you proceed, Yes! Your "tweaks"(?) will be overwritten as they should be. What works for one OS won't often work for another.
