wots this got to do with software?
erm, mine says 10mbit/s i'm way to lazy to post a screen shot, and it's not acctualy the speed of my modem, just the speed of the connection fromthe modem to the computer, so i'd assume your post doesn't prove a lot
You do know thats megaBITS per second right? So:
1 Mb = 1,048,576 bits
2.8 Mb * 1,048,576 bits = 2,936,012.8 bits
8 bits = 1 byte
2,936,012.8 bits / 8 bits = 397,001.6 bytes
1,024 bytes = 1 kilobyte
397,001.6 bytes / 1,024 bytes = 358.4 kilobytes.
PS: And big deal, mine says 100Mbps...
lol, check out OC192
Damn, OC192 is an almost 80 MB connection. The highest record though has been almost 120 MB connection. You could fill an 80 gig harddrive in a little over a minute...
OC192 is rated at between 9.5 and 10 Gbits/sec
10Gbits/sec = 10240Mbits/sec = 1280MBytes/sec
isn't that right?
a little faster than 120MB

Really though, are you all trying to make me jealous?
I dunno. O.oOriginally posted by 3rd gen noob@3 August 2003 - 12:04
