With curiosity, agreed. With rarity, if the only reason you want the invite is being able to say "yay, I made it", then that's a bit silly.

Well with curiosity as well, there's no other satisfaction than the quenching of the curiosity. It's basically a paraphrased version of "yay, I made it" except, it's closer to "yay, so this is it." I see the distinction between the two, but they're both equally meaningless, in my opinion, at the very least.
