    toothpaste is soluble in water
    if you use water, you negate the effect of adding the toothpaste to the cd (to a large extent)

    lol all ur doing with the tooth past is useing it as a buffing compound to buff the scratches out with after u buff them out just wash it off

    lol ur not trying to fill the scraches with tooth past

    toothpaste works because it is a mild abrasive (don&#39;t use the toothbrush though).

    metal polish works as well - another mild abrasive.

    using these methods works, but it does leave the suface looking slightly dull

    yeah 3 pages on selling a used cd to a pawn shop only to recieve less than 5 bucks, some of us just arent loaded with dough
