Why not give woman the vote while you're at it, pinko.Someone asked for a solution. Personally, I have zero issue with anyone with assets up to $25 million. After that, taxes should be IMMENSE AND UNAVOIDABLE. No one should inherit over $10 million. Amounts over that can be donated to legitimate charities (nonpolitical), given to a workers' retirement fund or as bonuses to workers and managers and CEOs on a proportionate basis, or reinvested. Success rewards everyone. Not saying a janitor needs to be compensated $1+ million per year, but a CEO doesn't need $100 million, either. Other areas money can be 'redistributed': jobs creation, healthcare and research, education for anyone willing to meet basic standards of success, infrastructure, a *reasonable* amount of defense and well trained public servants including police officers. Everyone is offered opportunities. There's a basic income granted to those staying home to raise their children. Drug programs and prisons are meant to educate people and help them be integrated into society (Norwegian model)...
If there's $800k of wealth available in the country for each person, there's enough to create a fair society that actually cares about people while allowing large amounts of wealth for those who strive. The limit is more to restrict one's ability to affect elections than to limit ones ability to accumulate stuff-- although $25 million is FAR more than anyone needs for 10 lifetimes.
Go ahead-- I realize it's not perfect (not trying to be Marx here), but putting out a far more equitable approach than we have.
And corporations are not considered 'people'-- they're f@<%!& businesses.
