I'm pretty new to this, and i've noticed that all of the movies available on kazaa seem to be of the vcd/mpg variety... I have a dvd burner, and I would like to d/l some movies that are in dvd format, ie >4gb...
Simply downloading/buring would be a lot cheaper than renting/burning.
Any advice?
thanx

if you want full dvd's use bittorrent. its not like kazaalite to use. What you do is install the software and then go to a website like suprnova.org and search for your dvd and click on the torrent, and the download should begin. You will recieve errors ocassionally, but most will work fine.
alternatively you can download dvd rips in AVI format (usually divx or xvid) from kazaalite and convert them into dvd complient mpeg2 and burn the to disk.

I tried bittorrent using "shadow's experimental" client... got the torrents from dvdrtorrentskickass... the speeds were sloooooooooooowwwww
I can usually get over 100 kbs on kazaalite, but on bittorrent I only got 1-2 kbs... I don't have the patience to wait 2 weeks for a dvdr
Do you know if there's another way? or maybe I'm doing something wrong???

ur probably behind a firewall and you need to configure your ports or turn off your firewall that comes with xp, that if you have windows xp. or just simply wait for the downlaod to gain speed and be grateful its always FREE!
