my question kinda is: WHY?

great FTP site for awesome quality video clips
yeah, you have to sign up, but its worth it
It has a built in USB hub.
Look at the spec - 4 USB ports (1 up, 3 down).
That's so you can can connect usb devices (keyboard, mouse, webcam perhaps) to the monitor and cut down on the connections between your work area and the pc.

so it just acts as a USB connection point, not do anything with the USB itself?
and whats the differance between the up and down USB ports?

USB hubs work in a sort of fan-out connection, so you can connect a hub to one of the ports on another hub to give you more connections (I'm not sure what the limit is). I think the restriction is that only the data signals can pass through the hub from a higher level, so power has to be supplied by the hub itself.Originally posted by Storm@7 July 2004 - 15:51

The up port goes UP to a higher level device (usually the computer), the down ports go DOWN to lower level devices (keyboard, mouse etc).
