This is rediculous, I spent a whole week downloading different versions of CC generals, and it didn't work. So I decided to get ftp from Tilen76. He was very helpful even though the (approx. 1.5 GB) total download amount spanned a good 4-5 days.
Well anyways, I am playing it and it works. But the stupid framerate is skipping and the sound during the intro is skipping. I have all the requirements met. I downloaded patches for the game to try to help, I even deleted a bunch of crap off my computer and still this shit is happening.
My Specs
Dell Inspirion
1.8 Ghz Pentium 4 processor
64MB Intel Extreme Graphics Controller
256MB DD RAM
48x CD-RW drive.
My question is that if I downloaded it could the movies during the intro and the graphics files been ruined during the download. I was thinking that the only reason it is doing this is because I downloaded it.
I went to the intel site. It had a list of verified games. Command and Conquer Generals was ON THERE! Green light. Go... But this crap is making me angry. What am I to do. If you can help me it would be of the utmost help. Thanks alot. I'd like to give a special thanks to:

p4 1.7
256mb
sis315 64mb (runs other games smooth as hell)
BUT... this is due to the fact that the developers made the game especially for nvidia and ati and other known brands. i think

It could be your graphics card, or just buy the game and see if that works.

thatd be a good idea, except if it doesnt, your SOL bc most stores wont take back opened games.. it didnt work on mine either... luckily i checked beforehand by installing off of a friends cd onto my computer and doing a quick test drive.... theres something wrong when a plane yells about the guys w\ antiair, and they finally veer off about 2 mins later due to the movie running so slow
