Pat Barker's trilogy Regeneration, The Eye In The Door and The Ghost Road are comfort books for me, like blankets and tea and cake.

Well for me It would have to be James Clavell's "ASIAN SAGA"
SHOGUN
GAIJIN
TAIPAN
NOBLE HOUSE
WHIRLWIND
All of these books are PAGE TURNERS.... for BOOKWORMS...
2nd would be Tom Clancy's "RYANVERSE"
3rd would be WEB Griffin's "The Brotherhood of WAR Series"
I am still in the process of Reading WEB Griffin's 3 remaining series that I have namely, "THE CORP" "HONOR BOUND" & "MEN AT WAR"
since my last post I have read tom clancy's net force which was good.
Reading the Dresden Files at the moment and Have been hooked on Jim Butchers writting style. Have them in MS Lit format.
I have posted them on this site: http://linkzshare.net/index.php
Dune Series probably
For me, it would have to be The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

It seems that the only series that I've ever read are fantasy ones. I really liked all of the series of David Eddings (The Belgariad, The Tamuli etc.) and Dave Duncan's "Kings Blade's" series.
The ones that I did not like were LOTR, and especially Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series. I swear to god that Jordan is on a paid-per-word contract or something.
Too many to pick. LOTR? Wheel of Time? Enders Game? Dragonlance? Riftwar series? Dune?
I would have to say the Dune series, Wheel of Time, and Enders Game series have a tree way tie.
<-
Wheel of Time, Dune, Sword of truth, song of ice and fire , LOTR.
