I used to like robot wars in the beginning, when it was a bunch of eccentrics knocking together a robot for £25 and some Tescos coupons.
Now it's just an excuse for middle aged blokes going through the midlife crisis and "competitive dad" types who shout at the kids and won't let the poor bugger have a go, to see who can spend the most money.
Now, Scrapheap Challenge (Junkyard Wars I think in the US) is a different story altogether. That does involve some skill, initiative and creative thinking B)

Here, we have robot wars AND Battle bots.
Battle bots rules. It is much better than robot wars.
