Look at the shadow, instead of the figure. Imagine the swinging leg moving either in front of or behind the straight one. It's quite straightforward to get the dancer to change direction. Once you've done it a couple of times and trained yourself it's easy.
My "natural" is clockwise unless I make the effort of spinning it in the opposite direction.
Clockwise for me as well. I really have to concentrate to see her spinning the other way.
I see her spinning clockwise also, I can't get her to spin the other direction

just kidding, actually i c her naturally spinning counter clockwise, isn't that interesting?
I'm telling you like, focusing on the shadow and looking at the body in your peripheral vision is the trick to swapping directions.
