But to be perfectly honest I'm not sure if I'd want to
I enjoy flitting about the lounge having fun and these guys and Girl have a lot to do and little time to do it in........it can't be that easy so with that said.....

Other times it can be very taxing, and we do get a bad rap at times for doing our jobs, but we took on the responsibility, and do it the best we can.

It's taxing because you all do it well and take it seriously.

It would be the easiest thing in the world to just rule with a rod of iron. However the impression I get is that you do all consider that it is real people you are dealing with and not just pixels on a screen.

They sacrifice their freedom to "tell it like it is" to ensure the board runs well

Without being heavy handed.

How difficult is that.

That's actually the part I don't like. I don't want to be seen as an authority figure, as I don't see myself that way. I'd rather see myself as a peacekeeper than someone "policing". I think it's more a case of keeping things running as smoothly as possible, make sure everyone is getting along as best they can. I don't like having to "slap someone's hand" as it were, and when I have to do it, I try to be as polite as possible when I PM someone about negative behaviour.
