and as i said....routers are very expensive over here
kk so i just put that ip and then i make the crossover cable a straight cable and no config on the other machine and its done?
this way will the "bandwidth" still go through my computer, right?

of course. the server hasta b on since it's the 1 that actually makes the connection 2 the i-net.
w/a router - - u would not need the server on 2 access the i-net.

routers use ALoT less power also.. Plus i know linksys routers dont crash as often as a PC Router with Windows on it would.
